Moving at a quick pace for the next month

Well, I was getting ready to sit down and create a post. However, I was stopped short by Mackenzie. She started breathing real deep and couldn't hardly talk. Don't worry, nothing is or was wrong with her. She just kept pointing (very hard) to the deck door. There was a huge ass raccoon looking right in the house! I mean sitting at the screen door looking in. Our deck is pretty high off the ground and wraps around the upper level of the house. I am just as freaked as she is. Holy moly. RJ is at work too. I just shut all of the windows and closed the curtains. The thing walked away just a quickly as is took me to process what it was. It is dark after all. We have some strange freaking animals around our house. We have a creek that runs along the entire back yard and I know that is why.

Anyway ~ This has been a busy week. Mackenzie got out of school on Tuesday. Poor thing, she is probably the only 7 year old not looking forward to summer vacation. She really wants to keep going to school. My aunt bought her some math and reading workbooks for the summer and that will help. She has a love for learning, but yet struggles in both of the above subjects. I hope that we can work on a page of time and money plus read a book every night. So far it has worked out. I just hope we can continue.

My sister had a beautiful wedding. She is my best friend and I would not trade her for the world. We email each other all day long and talk on the phone every weekend for hours. She is my rock and I am so thankful that she is my sister. The wedding was absolutely perfect. It was in a small church and very intimate. Dominic was trying to create a scene the whole time and I ended up out in the lobby. However, I had a good clear view and could see and hear everything. The ceremony was maybe 15 minutes long. Their reception took place in their back yard. They rented a tent (a circus size tent) and tables. There was a DJ and good food. RJ left with Dominic and Mackenzie at 7:30 because they were tired and Mackenzie said she was ready to lay down and watch a movie. I got to stay till the end. It was after 11 when I walked in the door. Shortly after getting home we got a phone call from my uncle. They (he, my aunt and 3 cousins) had drivin from Chicago (about 2 hours) and were heading back the same night. They hit a deer on the interstate. Only minor injuries - thank God. The car is in bad shape though. Luckily they were able to get a rental to finish their drive home, but their car had to be towed. I just hope they are all doing ok now.

My sister J never showed up. No one really knew why. I just know that my sister M is really really hurt. I do not blame her. This is just over the top. She has done some pretty stupid things in the last year or so - like calling at the last minute and saying that she is not coming to family Christmas. I cannot get into the whole thing tonight. That is a whole nother entry. Everyone is just really mad at her. We know she is ok and was not in an accident or anything like that. No pictures were taken with my sisters and parents. I think most of us were hoping to have a nice family portrait. But, maybe another time.

My parents are leaving next Wednesday for the trip of their lifetime. I am so excited for them. They are going to China and Japan for a month. My youngest sister, K will be staying with us and my sister M for the month. It will be nice to have her with us. She is going to keep us busy though. She has basketball practices and tumbling. Plus I believe there is a dentist appt in there somewhere to have her braces put on. I know she will be attending a basketball camp while she is with M. I am so proud of my little sister and am just ecstatic that she will be able to spend time with us. I am going to be setting up a twin bed in Mackenzie's room so that she has some place to retreat to at night and is not sleeping on the couch.

We are going to be very busy this weekend. Mackenzie has a birthday party to attend tomorrow. Sunday we have a nephews 1st birthday party, a nieces's graduation party and two visitations.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Good night.
