Somedays things just don't go as planned.

This morning I get to work only to find my office so stinkin hot that I could not breath. The thermostat read 78. I called maintenance and they take a look. The compressor for the air system is broken. And get this - the part will not be in until Monday or Tuesday next week. So, I suffer. I do transcription which requires a head set to listen and a foot pedal to play what I will be typing. My foot pedal has been broken since Monday and it is a big pain in the butt to work without it. There is a way to do it, but it takes me twice as long. The IT department is not sure when they will be able to bring me another one. The doctor I work for did not start working until after lunch and everything was running way behind.

Here were my plans for after work:
1. Leave work at 4:30
2. Pick up Dominic
3. Go to the bank
4. Pick up an auction item that I won on a local
auction site.
5. Pick up Mackenzie
6. Go home and finish making a tator tot casserole
that I started last night. It is a whole
different story as to why it didn't get done last
night.
7. Go to Wal-Mart to buy a couple of short sleeve
shirts to get through the week in the sweltering
office.

This is how it really went:
RJ called at 4:10 to ask we where the spare key was to the house. I don't know. I thought he put it somewhere. I had to leave work, pick up Dominic, stop at the bank, go home to let him in the house. He did go pick Mackenzie up from school while he was waiting for me. He keeps the kids while I pick up the auction item. I got lost and it took 1/2 hour longer to get home. Make tater tot casserole which no one liked. Threw away the recipe and the rest of it. Clean table, start dishes and Mackenzie yells, "MOM - DOMINIC IS THROWING UP". Great. Not in the plans. OK - bathe Dominic while RJ cleans up the mess and I have to hear him gag. Well, Dominic was not really sick, he chocked on something. Remind Mackenzie to not leave Polly Pockets on the floor again. I have not made it to Wal-Mart and it is after 9. The chances are not good that I will make it there either. Dominic is sleeping. Mackenzie has to get to bed and I am going too. Good night.

Hope you all have a wonderful night. Hug your little ones.
